Fraydele is an band made up of Vocalist Eva Salina, Violinist and Vocalist Zoe Aqua, and Double-Bassist and Vocalist Joanna Sternberg. It is named after Joanna’s late grandmother “Fraydele Oysher” who was a pioneer of Feminism and The Yiddish Theater. FRAYDELE performs their own unique arrangements and interpretations of soulful songs from The Yiddish Theater and Yiddish Folk Music Repertoire. In May, Clarinetist Zoe Christiansen will join the band when she moves to New York City.
