Noam Vazana | Bio

If Nina Simon or Tori Amos would go a little crazier and play trombone and piano at the same time… They’d sound more like Noam Vazana. Noam grew up playing classical piano and honing her trombone skills but it was at the end of her 3rd year at the Amsterdam Conservatory, that she found a way to combine her talents and define her own sound.

Vazana burst onto the global music scene in 2011 with the release of her first album, Daily Sketch, and has continued to capture audiences internationally with her charismatic,  exceptional voice, songwriting and her unique ability to play piano and trombone simultaneously. Noam plays regularly on International stages such as: Intl. Women Festival ISR ’16, Jazzahead DE ’15, Roccella Jonica Jazz Festival IT ’14, Tanjazz MA ’13 TEDx NL ’12, North Sea Jazz NL ’12, Peace congress ISR ’11 and many more.

Noam’s new release Love Migration won the ACUM album prize, charted nr. 14# on the iTunes bestselling chart and #2 on DPRP’s Best albums of 2015. It’s an intimate album, dealing with a long distance relationship on the backdrop of immigration. Noam’s crowd funding campaign sold 800 copies of the album in advance., to round it up, Noam met with 50 fans to deliver the CD personally and hug each one. A documented “hug video” is now accompanying the single “Waiting” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tW5Y2IEjgI0
