Aaron Alexander has been playing music professionally for over 30 years. He is an in demand drummer and leads his own groups in concerts, clubs, as well as at weddings, events and parties. Alexander has recorded and performed with his own groups The Klez Messengers, Midrash Mish Mosh, Aaron Alexander Sextet, collective groups – Babkas,  Klezmerfest, Freeplay, and as a sideman with The Klezmatics, Frank London’s Klezmer Brass All-Stars, Alicia Svigals, Greg Wall’s Later Prophets, Hasidic New Wave, Adrienne Cooper, Alex Kontorovich, Pete Sokolow, German Goldenshteyn, Satoko Fujii Orchestra West, and many others. Alexander has taught drums and ensembles at the New York Klezmer Series, Klez Kamp, Klez Kanada, Yiddish Summer Weimar, Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow, Fuerth Klezmer Festival, London Klezmer Festival and others. He founded the New York Klezmer Series (formerly East Village Klezmer Series) in 2010 (at the invitation of Rabbi Greg Wall), which is now located at Jalopy Theater in Brooklyn.
